“Most people are natural cooks; they just don’t have the confidence to give it a go.” Anne Marie
Who are private cookery classes for?
You could be looking to pick up a new skill such as baking, or a whole new style of cooking such as vegan, Japanese or Thai cookery. Or you just want to cook the best roast dinner ever (and learn how to turn the leftovers into even more dishes.)
A private cookery class is for anyone who has ever thought that they can’t cook or thought they could cook better.
Popular courses include plant based, student cookery, fakeaways and freezer and budget friendly batch cookery – brilliant for teenagers about to leave home for the first time and busy parents who want the whole family to eat healthily.
Some people opt for 1-2-1 private lessons, others want to cook along with family and friends, or partners.
You can even book a virtual cookery lesson for a special occasion – unite friends and family in different time zones for a virtual birthday afternoon tea to make scones, Victoria sponge or vegan chocolate brownies.
Informal, informative and inspirational!
One Get Cooking! student described a lesson with Anne Marie as ‘the recipe book that talks back – in the best possible way!’ As you cook together during your private lesson, Anne Marie talks you through the whole dish, passing on tips and techniques so you’re learning the whole time but without any pressure. If it doesn’t turn out quite how it should – Anne Marie will know a way to save the day and the dish!
A Get Cooking! course, or even a single lesson, will give you a bit more confidence to experiment, to have fun, make a bit of a mess. Every time you swap one ingredient for another, you’re creating a recipe that’s 100% your own!
A little imagination goes a long way.
“My lessons with Anne Marie have given me a ’store cupboard’ of super tasty recipes which are quick, simple, healthy and even cost effective.”
How much will it cost?
A two hour private lesson including ingredients at Anne Marie’s home range from:
£95 for 1 person
£125 for 2 people
£195 for 3 or 4 people
Additional hours can be added too:
£50 per hour for one person, £75 for two and £100 for 3 or 4 people. Perfect for making bread goods or a quick intense course is required (perfect for those leaving home and want to learn the basics).
How does a virtual cookery class work?
A virtual cooking class is a live cook along, so you cook the whole meal or menu from scratch, live. Online lessons take place in your own kitchen via Zoom and Anne Marie sends the recipe and ingredients list in advance. Lessons can be extended if you wish to make more complex dishes or when making bread for an additional cost.
Virtual cookery lessons mean that you can cook at your convenience, in your own kitchen, with familiar equipment. Anne Marie can show you how to create healthy, tasty and affordable meals with just one saucepan and a single hob.
It’s completely your choice what you learn, what you cook and what pace you go at. It takes into account any food allergies, personal likes or dislikes.
Zoom private lessons start at £65 per hour for 1 person and £95 for up to 6 households. This makes this an affordable and fun way to cook with friends or family wherever they live.
